Goffs Scandinavian agent Filip Zwicky has been given an expanded role within the Goffs Group and will be tasked with assisting Scandinavian visitors to Goffs UK sales in Doncaster as well as those taking place in Ireland under the Goffs banner.
Zwicky owns the hugely popular GalopSport.com website which acts as the main racing and breeding information service in Scandinavia and he has been employed by Goffs for nearly 10 years. Along with an expanding list of clients, he is a regular visitor to Kildare from where he imports an ever growing number of horses to Scandinavia each year. He also made his first visit to Doncaster this year where he assisted Francisco Castro when buying two yearlings to train at the Jägersro racecourse in Sweden.
Filip will start work for Goffs UK on 1 January 2017 and his first task will be to expand the portfolio of Scandinavian buyers at the Goffs UK Breeze Up Sale at Doncaster in April. Both Zwicky and the Goffs UK team will undertake a number of new initiatives to encourage more buyers to this sale and Zwicky is looking forward to growing a market that was hugely popular with many of his clients at the Goffs Breeze Up Sale in Kempton.
Following this announcement, Zwicky commented:
“I am really looking forward to working with the Goffs UK team to increase the number of Scandinavian buyers at all sales but especially the Breeze Up Sale, where there has been much success in Scandinavia headed by the likes of Easy Road. I believe that the timing of this sale and the new initiatives that are being implemented by Goffs UK will be hugely appealing to Scandinavian buyers and I look forward to bringing many new clients to Doncaster, starting with the Breeze Up Sale."
Goffs UK Managing Director Tony Williams was also delighted with the new role and commented:
